Mysuru, Jun 7: The long-awaited air connectivity between Mysuru and Bengaluru was realised as flight service between the two cities was launched on Friday under the UDAN scheme.
Alliance Air, a subsidiary of Air India, is operating a flight offering 70 seats five days a week. There will be no service on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
District in-charge minister G T Deve Gowda flagged off the first flight at Mandakali Airport. Tourism minister Sa Ra Mahesh and Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha were also present on the occasion.
