Nearly 6,000 converted to Islam in 2 Muslim institutions of Kerala in 5 years

[email protected] (CD Network)
July 17, 2016

Kasaragod, Jul 17: As many as 5,793 people, most of them Hindus, accepted the religion of Islam between 2011 and 2015 in two recognised religious conversion centres of Kerala located in Kozhikode and Malappuram, according to an intelligence report.

1muslimA government official on condition of anonymity said that more number non Muslims might have converted to Islam during the same period in other institutions and independently.

The report submitted to the state police chief nearly seven months ago states that almost half of those who converted to Islam are women, and that the majority of these women (76%) are below 35 years. Of those converted, 4,719 were Hindus and the remaining 1,074 mostly Christian.

The conversions happened at Tharbiyathul Islam Sabha in Kozhikode and Monunsthil Islam Sabha at Ponnani, two traditional religious institutions in the state 'authorized' to convert people from other religions to Islam.

The police report, prepared in connection with the conversion of Nimisha alias Fathima -currently missing along with 20 others from the state and suspected to have joined Islamic State -says that a detailed inquiry is required to verify whether these conversions were under duress, whether there were enticements involved or were voluntary .

“Inquiries are required to know whether this will affect the communal harmony, internal security of the state and nation. A detailed SSB (state special branch) inquiry in Kasaragod, Kannur, Alappuzha, Thiruvananthapuram and Palakkad is recommended to unearth the details," the report, sent by then Kasaragod SP, A Srinivas, who probed the Nimisha case in November 2015, said.

Any problem u have ...
Just make Dua to ALLAH (the God of all that exists)
Call him with 99 names which suits your situation. if you are not memorized with it . then make dua with the names you know. (Allah knows what is in you - U just need to ask him)
U will get the answer either in the last moment or as Allah Wishes.
Trust ALLAH and be patience.
If U trust ALLAH, then U will never go to another creation of ALLAH.
Cos Your IMAAN should be that ALLAH will provide U and take U out of any situation with his knowledge....
RESPECT the Prophets, Auliyas and the pious.
But TRUST ALLAH. SURELY those who trust ALLAH will be SUCCESSFUL.

You never need to go to the creation for barakah or for the solution of your troubles.

Dear Monu,

How to gain waseela in practicality?

Answer as follows:

Getting to know Allah is waseela, Learning the Quran is waseela, doing good deeds is waseela, by this way every good deeds and anything that get us closer to ALLAH(S W T) is waseela. Allah makes i compulsory to love Rasulallah ( S A W), follow him and obey him, for he is one of the highest waseela to get closer to ALLAH and please him.

May Allah SWT enable us to understand and comprehend the way beloved to him.

Dear Monu,

Quran - Chapter 5, Verse 35, Chapter 17, Verse 57

When you look at thes two verses, Allah( Subhana Huwa Ta'la) asks us to seek his waseela, meaning his ways to achieve his bounty, His rahmah, his guidance, his jannah. When you examine it in detail you realize that in order to seek waseela you have to get closer to Rasulullah(PBUH). To do that you get to obey Rasulullah( S A W) and follow him. In pakistan / Indian society and some of the sufi( or corrupted sufi groups) they take this concept to the extremes. They have their own evidence but they twist it.
These people start to believe that a pious person can heal their daughter and if they pray for so and so he can do such and such for them and if they go to the grave of so and so make duaa, their duaa will be accepted. Now without knowing we become a mushrik and instead of believing in ALLAH(S W T) and his oneness, we believe in that person.
Somebody might argue..... NO..!! We are just doing waseela.... This is what the kuffar of the Qureshi did. They believed that ALLAH( S W T) was the creator, he was the one who was the owner of the kaaba and the statues were but a waseela to reach Allah(S W T). These are actually the roots of Christianity; when the miracle that ALLAH(S W T) gave to Jesus the power to heal people, bring the dead back to life, it was a fitnah for the majority. Instead of taking it just a miracle, they elevated a human being to the level of the creator ALLAH S W T...

Similarly today, if we go to shaikh so and so, we say \he can protect us, he can heal our son, he can make my wife pregnant, he can protect me from shaytaan\". So and so peer can perform miracle.. I saw people coming with such and such desease and they left cured. He is the one he can do it\". All this language and all this belief can only belong to ALLAH (S W T). I hope you understand.

I am only giving you a glimpse. By this way, the prefix, \"Ya\" only belongs to none but Allah(S W T). You cannot call Rasulallah ( S A W) as \"ya Rasul Allah\"while making duaa or go to someone's grave and use them to pray for something. This is a bida and shirk"

Dear Monu,

Allah already provided Quran as guide, no need to visit scholar to get the answer. Everything is clearly written in Quran about worship.

Rank Holders never visit tuition for doubts, their IQ is far better than Dull students. Try to understand Quran and Hadees. I hope it will resolve your doubts.

10 years before visiting Darghah was common for all Dakshinna Kannada muslim people. Later on translated version of Quran introduced. People started to realise their mistake and started to move towards the right path by leaving our forefathers customs like worshipping darghah calling everyone other than Allah.
I think moidin shaikh is very famous for mangalorean sunni. In my childhood days i used call moidin shaikh during the tough time.
Our local usthad wanted us to keep in darkness for their bread and butter.

Our teachers taught us to follow sunni, anafi , salafi. But only few scholars thought us to follow Islam, and there is no groupism in Islam. hats off to Great Zakir Naik, he is one of the scholar because always quotes from quran and hadees, never said his own rule.

Our Prophet Muhammed PBUH used to do work for his bread and butter, but our current Usthad they are lazy and fool people on the base of maulood or other unnecessary things to earn money.

If they are really the follower of Prophet, then they should go for work and should not depend on jamaath for salary and other expenses.

Believe in one God as Allah, and Prophet Muhammed PBUH as the last messenger of Allah.

Respect USTHAD but dont ask them for solution try to find answers in Quran and Hadees.

Allahu Akbar

Very well said True Indian.

Asking other than Allah is Haram.

You can pray others for Jannat, but asking with them is useless and no use.

Its just like recommending some one to give your public exam.

You will get the marks on the base of your performances. Either you will pass or fail, its all depending on your performances.

Same will apply to our life. Whatever we do good deeds we get the return from Allah.

Third person is not allowed in Allah's decision. He is well planner and decision maker.

Monu, you want waseela from the dead people OR living people ??????

I do not understand, what is the goal of this conversion centre.... Are they doing this to please ALLAH or to get publicity.........
Prophet ( PBUH ) said, if the right hand gives charity, the left hand should NOT know.....So it is difficult to understand, what kind of these molvis are ???? let them do their work quietly and get the reward from ALLAH.... By Publicity, they are spoiling the communal harmony of the society.....If they want to do REAL DAWA work, let them REFORM the so called Muslims ( Nam ke Waste ), instead of converting Non Muslims .... These N K W muslims do not pray properly and many indulge in goondagiri and rowdism... Once we good muslims, show good character, good work, good intentions, naturally the Non Muslims will be attracted towards ISLAM...... As it is often said by the westerners, ISLAM IS THE BEST RELIGION BUT MUSLIMS ARE THE WORST PEOPLE...

There is need to reform the shia muslim leader, who has put a bounty of 15 lakhs for the head of Dr Zakir Naik.... We should be ASHAMED of such Muslims

There are 2 major weakness with The Indian Muslims community.

1.Muslims Doesn't have Their owen National Media
2.Muslims Doesn't have Their own national Political Party

If these 2 weakness converted in to Strength then the Community will not suffer in the hands of Fascist Forces.

Bengaluru, Jan 6: Cab aggregators are once again in news for the wrong reasons after an Ola cab driver misbehaved with a 34-year-old woman passenger and even threatened to kill her when she raised an alarm.

But what followed was worse. The woman, a software engineer, immediately called the Ola emergency number following which they asked her to check if the driver was drunk. She later pressed the emergency button on the Ola app but received a message asking her to dial 100. After the aggregator failed to help her, she said she was lucky to be saved by the public.

Reacting to the incident, an Ola spokesperson said, “We regret the unfortunate incident and have immediately terminated the driver-partner from the platform upon receiving the complaint.”

Shruthi G (name changed), an employee at a software company at Bagmane Tech Park in Mahadevapura, booked an Ola cab after her work in the evening of January 3. She booked pick-up stops at two locations as she had to pick her four-year-old daughter from the day-care centre, which is 2 km away from her house.

However, around 6.22 pm, when the cab reached Malleshpalya near Kids Castle, the driver did not stop the vehicle. He asked her to get down at the last drop location. She told him to stop and tried to open the doors but he locked the doors, insisting that she sit in the car. When she resisted, he held her hands and abused her; he even threatened to kill her if she raised an alarm.

The victim said she pressed the emergency button on the app twice but only got a message advising her to call the police.

When she called the Ola emergency number, the person at the other end asked about her condition and to check whether the driver was drunk. They called back after one-and-a-half hours when she was filing a complaint at the police station.

“Ola did not make any efforts to reach out to the police or do anything to track my location and help me in that situation,” she said.

The victim called 100 and the staffer at the control room asked her which area she was in. Since she was familiar with the area, Shruthi was able to give her location.

“First they told me that the area comes under Baiyappanahalli. Later, they said it comes under HAL. Finally, they figured out the location. It took 20 minutes for the police to reach the spot,” she said.

What saved Shruti was her sheer instinct and luck. Alone in the cab, she started raising an alarm. Luckily, commuters in the other vehicles next to the cab noticed her screaming for help and stopped the driver.

“If this is the kind of security Ola provides its customer, it is very questionable,” she said. “If we have to really call the police during an emergency then why they put out the number and emergency button, it’s a waste of time during that crucial situation. If they directly told us to dial 100 during an emergency, it will save time. Lakhs of commuters take Ola cabs thinking it is safe but they have no mechanism to check their drivers and track their customers in danger.”

Baiyappanahalli police said the accused Bhimashankar Malged was arrested and remanded in judicial custody following the complaint.

Hounde, Jul 28: Coronavirus and its restrictions are pushing already hungry communities over the edge, killing an estimated 10,000 more young children a month as meager farms are cut off from markets and villages are isolated from food and medical aid, the United Nations warned Monday.

In the call to action shared with The Associated Press ahead of publication, four UN agencies warned that growing malnutrition would have long-term consequences, transforming individual tragedies into a generational catastrophe.

Hunger is already stalking Haboue Solange Boue, an infant from Burkina Faso who lost half her former body weight of 5.5 pounds (2.5 kilograms) in just a month. Coronavirus restrictions closed the markets, and her family sold fewer vegetables. Her mother was too malnourished to nurse.

“My child,” Danssanin Lanizou whispered, choking back tears as she unwrapped a blanket to reveal her baby's protruding ribs.

More than 550,000 additional children each month are being struck by what is called wasting, according to the UN — malnutrition that manifests in spindly limbs and distended bellies. Over a year, that's up 6.7 million from last year's total of 47 million. Wasting and stunting can permanently damage children physically and mentally.

“The food security effects of the COVID crisis are going to reflect many years from now,” said Dr. Francesco Branca, the WHO head of nutrition. “There is going to be a societal effect.”

From Latin America to South Asia to sub-Saharan Africa, more poor families than ever are staring down a future without enough food.

In April, World Food Program head David Beasley warned that the coronavirus economy would cause global famines “of biblical proportions” this year. There are different stages of what is known as food insecurity; famine is officially declared when, along with other measures, 30% of the population suffers from wasting.

The World Food Program estimated in February that one Venezuelan in three was already going hungry, as inflation rendered salaries nearly worthless and forced millions to flee abroad. Then the virus arrived.

“Every day we receive a malnourished child,” said Dr. Francisco Nieto, who works in a hospital in the border state of Tachira.

In May, Nieto recalled, after two months of quarantine, 18-month-old twins arrived with bodies bloated from malnutrition. The children's mother was jobless and living with her own mother. She told the doctor she fed them only a simple drink made with boiled bananas.

“Not even a cracker? Some chicken?” he asked.

“Nothing,” the children's grandmother responded. By the time the doctor saw them, it was too late: One boy died eight days later.

The leaders of four international agencies — the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the World Food Program and the Food and Agriculture Organization — have called for at least dollar 2.4 billion immediately to address global hunger.

But even more than lack of money, restrictions on movement have prevented families from seeking treatment, said Victor Aguayo, the head of UNICEF's nutrition program.

“By having schools closed, by having primary health care services disrupted, by having nutritional programs dysfunctional, we are also creating harm,” Aguayo said. He cited as an example the near-global suspension of Vitamin A supplements, which are a crucial way to bolster developing immune systems.

In Afghanistan, movement restrictions prevent families from bringing their malnourished children to hospitals for food and aid just when they need it most. The Indira Gandhi hospital in the capital, Kabul, has seen only three or four malnourished children, said specialist Nematullah Amiri. Last year, there were 10 times as many.

Because the children don't come in, there's no way to know for certain the scale of the problem, but a recent study by Johns Hopkins University indicated an additional 13,000 Afghans younger than 5 could die.

Afghanistan is now in a red zone of hunger, with severe childhood malnutrition spiking from 690,000 in January to 780,000 — a 13% increase, according to UNICEF.

In Yemen, restrictions on movement have blocked aid distribution, along with the stalling of salaries and price hikes. The Arab world's poorest country is suffering further from a fall in remittances and a drop in funding from humanitarian agencies.

Yemen is now on the brink of famine, according to the Famine Early Warning Systems Network, which uses surveys, satellite data and weather mapping to pinpoint places most in need.

Some of the worst hunger still occurs in sub-Saharan Africa. In Sudan, 9.6 million people live from one meal to the next — a 65% increase from the same time last year.

Lockdowns across Sudanese provinces, as around the world, have dried up work and incomes for millions. With inflation hitting 136%, prices for basic goods have more than tripled.

“It has never been easy but now we are starving, eating grass, weeds, just plants from the earth,” said Ibrahim Youssef, director of the Kalma camp for internally displaced people in war-ravaged south Darfur.

Adam Haroun, an official in the Krinding camp in west Darfur, recorded nine deaths linked with malnutrition, otherwise a rare occurrence, over the past two months — five newborns and four older adults, he said.

Before the pandemic and lockdown, the Abdullah family ate three meals a day, sometimes with bread, or they'd add butter to porridge. Now they are down to just one meal of “millet porridge” — water mixed with grain. Zakaria Yehia Abdullah, a farmer now at Krinding, said the hunger is showing “in my children's faces.”

“I don't have the basics I need to survive,” said the 67-year-old, who who hasn't worked the fields since April. “That means the 10 people counting on me can't survive either.”
