New showroom of Tanishq launched in Mangalore

Mangalore, June 20: Tanishq, India's largest jewellery brand and a part of Titan Industries, opened its new showroom at Balmatta road on Wednesday. This is 138th showroom in Tanishq's network.

Inaugurating the showroom Bhasker Bhat, Managing Director, Titan Industries Ltd said, “Tanishq has been a pioneer in setting new benchmarks in the jewellery industry. In the future, we plan to extend our reach to newer markets”

The new showroom spreads over an area of 6000 sqft. and offers a wide range of jewellery. From grand and opulent wedding jewellery in gold, kundan, polki, diamonds to contemporary jewellery from Mia and Glam gold collections.


Inaugural offer

Tanishq has announced a special inaugural offer where customers will be gifted free gold coins with purchase of every eight grams of gold jewellery and on diamond jewellery worth Rs 8000. The customer can also avail up to 20% off on purchase of diamond jewellery above Rs 2 lakh. This offer is available only at Tanishq Balmatta road from June 20 to 24, 2012.

Mangaluru, July 15: Moulana Iqbal Mulla Nadvi, an acclaimed Islamic scholar and Qadhi (Khazi) of Bhatkal, passed away at a private hospital in Mangaluru. 

The elderly scholar was critically for past few weeks. 

He had served as the president of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal for several years.

He was known among Islamic scholars of Karnataka for his boldness, sincerity and wisdom.

Last rites are expected to be held in Bhatkal.

Mangaluru, Apr 13: City Commissioner of police P S Harsha on Monday warned people, not to use drones illegally for filming or any other purposes.

Speaking with this regard Harsha said on Monday ,''“We have noticed that persons are illegally using drones to film Mangaluru city. If this continues, we will not only seize the drone but will also take firm legal action against the person responsible. Because Mangaluru is a sensitive place with lots of vital installations.''

He further requested the media houses also not to hire drone services for filming or any other purposes.

Kasaragod, Mar 29: The ban imposed by Karnataka in crossing state borders to Mangalore even for medical emergencies had cost a life here late on Friday.

According to sources, the ambulance carrying a 70-year-old woman for critical care treatment to Mangalore was blocked at Thalapadi border on Kasaragod-Mangalore National Highway on Friday evening.

A pregnant lady had to deliver in an ambulance recently as the police denied permission to cross over to Mangalore.
