New Union Minister of Karnataka for Railways Suresh Angadi want to complete pending projects first

Belagavi, Jun 1: New Union Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi want to complete pending projects first rather than taking up new projects.

Speaking to newsmen at Sambra Airport on his maiden visit after taking over his new assignment, he said "rather than taking up new projects, emphasis would be given to complete the ongoing projects. Will hold discussion with officials with regard to Railway connectivity to pilgrim centre Savadatti while development projects would be taken to enhance the comforts and convenience of the traveling public. Cooperation from the State government would help in implementation of the Railway projects.

Earlier he was given a rousing reception by BJP workers at the Airport. Besides BJP Rajya Sabha member Prabhakar Kore, Legislators Abhay Patil, Anil Benake, Anand Mamani and several party leaders extended a warm welcome to him.

Bengaluru, Feb 6: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa said that portfolios for the 10 new ministers who sworn in on Thursday will be allocated by February 8.

Speaking to media persons, he said that he will go to Delhi in the coming days and the date of his visit will be finalised soon.

He is expected to meet the high command again to finalise the list of BJP MLAs for three berths in the Cabinet.

Mangaluru, July 21: Putting an end to all speculations, district in charge minister Kota Srinvas Poojary on Tuesday said that the lockdown in Dakshina Kannada will not be extended beyond Wednesday.

In a video message, the minister said that all the shops in the district will remain open from July 23 morning. He said district administration will make a formal announcement soon.  

Meanwhile chief minister B S Yediyurappa said: “There’ll be no lockdown from Wednesday, people need to get back to work, economy is also very important. We have to fight COVID-19 while maintaining stable economy. Lockdown is not the solution, now restrictions will be placed only in containment zones.”

Udupi, Mar 8: The 75-year old man who was admitted to Udupi District Hospital over suspected Corona Virus infection has tested negative on Saturday.

The reports from Bengaluru Medical College’s laboratory where the samples of the person were sent, confirmed that the aged person was not infected with Corona Virus.

The report was submitted to the District Administration by the laboratory that confirmed that the person was not infected by the viral Corona Virus.
