Udupi, February 13: A man died on the spot in a head-on collision between a motorbike and a tempo, on the NH-17, at Katapady on Saturday night.
The victim has been identified as Lenin Anchan (28), a resident of Kaipunjalu in Kaup.
Local police has registered a case.

Nagarajun graced the occasion as Chief Guest, in is address he lauded the invaluable contributions of Dr. Rai to the Rotary Movement and congratulated on his achievements. Later he awarded the Rotary Glittering Trophy, Certificates and Cash prizes of R.3,000 to the Winners and Runners up and congratulated them on their unique achievements.

Chikkamagaluru, Mar 8: A 20 member armed gang barged into a farmhouse at Gudde Thota near Jayapura in Koppa taluk and looted valuables and cash worth about Rs 12 lakh after assaulting the inmates, Police said on Sunday.
According to police, the culprits covered their face with masks and after assaulting watchman they broke open the main door and tied up Vijayaraghav and his wife Asha before robbing the valuables.
The culprits took away Rs 2.5 lakh in cash and valuables worth over Rs 10 lakh.
Shivamogga, Jun 13: Senior BJP leader and Karnataka Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, K S Eshwarappa on Saturday opined that during the selection of candidates to the legislative council, the party needs to take into consideration those who helped the party in formation of government in the State.
Speaking to media persons on the sideline of a programme here, he said the party high command would give another surprise while issuing tickets during the MLC election.
Mr Eshwrappa said that party high command will take a call on selecting candidates, but priority should be given to the leader who won on Congress and Janata Dal and then jumped to BJP which helped to form govt under the leadership of B S Yediyurappa.
