While outlining the future of the industry with a power point presentation, Wadhera said that the industry was in dire need of trained people. The growth has been phenomenal and therefore the industry was looking for people with prior knowledge.
He congratulated the institute for its efforts in training the students to become competent jewellery professionals and face the global competition in the industry. “Institutes like MIJM can bridge the huge gap between the demand and supply of professional graduates in the field'', he added.
Dr K Ramnarayan, Vice Chancellor, Manipal University presided over the function. Prof (Col) MM Shanbhag, Director, MIJM welcomed the gathering.
