Annual day of Grace Montessori House of Children celebrated

Mangalore, April 3: The 11th annual day celebration of his Grace Montessori House of Children was held on April 2, at the school ground.



The function was presided over by Syed Mohammed Beary, Managing Trustee of Bearys Academy of Learning . The Chief Guest, Patricia Lobo, Faculty of The Teacher's Foundation addressed the gathering and lauded the school for providing soft skill to the students. The Montessori level 3 achievers were felicitated by the Managing trustee, chief guest, correspondent, Principal and vice president of PTA in the graduation ceremony.



The tiny tots enthralled the audience with a welcome dance “Athithi Devo Bhava” followed by various entertaining programs showcasing their extra ordinary talents and paying tribute to various community builders of the society. With a theme ''Life is beautiful” and with a message , 'how with some understanding, some compassion and working together side by side makes this world a beautiful place', they paid tribute to their teachers with an action song.



Through dance performances they showcased how a bangle seller bringing a token of radiance in a women's life and also how the fisher folk are considered as the sons of coastal towns bring happiness in our life. The Konkani dance showcased how the Konkani language has won the hearts of the people of the Konkan region. The little ones, through a skit 'I am proud of my body' showed us why it was important to take good care of body. Through a group song “Zindagi Milke Bithayenge” they showed all present, how pain shared is pain lessened and joy shared is joy increased. They also expressed their joy and pleasure with other group songs like 'walking with God' and 'counting colours in the rainbow'.



The event winded up with the school prayer song.

Belagavi, Apr 30: Police Sub-Inspector attached to Sadalaga Police Station Anil Kumbar was suspended on Wednesday pending inquiry for negligence and misbehavior in Examba incident, Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbargi said.

According to him, the PSI was suspended as he misbehaved with Sachin Sawant a Centeral Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Cobra Commando on April 23 at his native village Yakshamba village and arrested him on charges of not wearing mask. On scuffle with the constable the commando was handcuffed and chained at Sadalaga police station.

Sachin Sawant was sent to Hindlaga Jail by the Court and was released on conditional bail on Tuesday.

Bengaluru, Mar 23: Film producer, philanthropist and entrepreneur V K Mohan committed suicide by hanging himself in a hotel in the city on Monday, police said.

Mohan, who hailed from Kundapur Taluk, Udupi District, was a famous film producer and hotelier.

According to police, Mohan arrived at the hotel on Sunday night and when he did not open the door of his room on Monday, hotel staffs, grew suspicious and peeped through the room window, found him hanging.

Davanagere, Jul 4: Referring to allegations made by former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's charge about corruption while purchasing COVID-19 equipment, Health Minister B Sriramulu said the state government is ready for any kind of probe in this regard.

Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, he said the government has maintained accounts for each purchase of equipment related to Covid-19. 

"So, Congress leader's allegations are far from the truth. Siddaramaiah has vast political experience. It is unbecoming of such a leader to make ridiculous allegations. The government is ready to release white paper on purchase of equipment related to Covid-19," he said.

He said Karnataka stands third in the country in collection of throat swabs and examination of people related to Covid-19. The entire country has hailed Karnataka's role in containing Covid-19, Sriramulu he added.
