Public talk on 'relationship between Creator and man' held

July 7, 2011
Mangalore, July 7: Most of the religions do not present a clear picture about the purpose of life, but, there is not a single ambiguity in Islam about life, death, and relationship between man and his creator, said South Africa based Islamic scholar Abu Muawiyah Ismail Kamdar.

He was delivering a public talk on “God and You- What is your relationship?” organised by South Karnataka Salafi Movement (SKSM) at Town Hall here on Wednesday evening. A large number of people from different communities took part in the programme.

Mr Kamdar said unlike many of the religions, Islam is not a set of rituals and practices, but a complete practicable way of life from birth to death.

He pointed out that in Islam worship is not mere a ritual, but a way of life itself. All the righteous actions of a Muslim will be considered as worship, he said.

Explaining the significance of relationship between the creator and mankind, he said that in Islamic perspective the primary relationship between the creator and man is submitting latters will to the former.

The talk was followed by question and answer session.

Prior to Kamdar's discourse, at 4.30 pm, Shareef Melathil, Niche of Truth, Cochin spoke on “Know Allah” in Malayalam language while Umar Shareef, President of DIET, Bangalore delivered a talk on “This is Islam” in Kananda.
