BJP Yuva Morcha state executive committee meeting on Friday

Mangalore, July 26: The Karnataka State BJP Yuva Morcha executive committee meeting will be held at Sanghaniketan, the city based headquarters of RSS, on Friday July 29.

Announcing this at a press meet here on Tuesday, Kishor Kumar Puttur, D K district President of BJP Yuva Morcha said the state executive committee meeting is being held in the city for the first time in last 25 years.

He informed that around 200 office bearers of Morcah from across the state including presidents, vice-presidents and secretaries of the district units would be taking part in the meeting, which would commence at 10:00 a.m.

He said that leaders and activists of Morcha would discuss various issues including terrorism, national internal security, black money, corruption, and 'anti-Hindu policy' of the union government in the meeting.

State President of Morcha and former Karkala MLA V Sunil Kumar would inaugurate the meeting. The programme would concluded in the evening with 'Yuva Sangharsh Aandolan', in which more than three thousand activists of Morcha from eight 'mandalas' of the DK district are expected to take part, Mr Puttur said.

He also informed that more than 200 Morcha activists from different parts of the state would be participating in the Yuva Sangharsh Aandolan, which would held in in Ram Lila Maidan in Delhi on August 9.

State Vice President of Morcha Dr Y Bharat Shetty and District General Secretary Rajesh Shetty were also present in the press meet.

Bengaluru, Apr 7: With reporting of 12 positive cases of COVID-19 since last evening, including three women, the total number of confirmed cases in Karnataka increased to 175, including four deaths.

According to official sources, while three fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported from Bengaluru, two each had been reported from Bagalkot, Kalaburagi and Mandya, followed by one each at Gadag and Bengaluru Rural districts.

After a gap of over three weeks, two more fresh cases had been reported from Kalaburagi, which had reported the first death of the country.

Mangaluru, Mar 30: Police on Monday registered a case against a man, who, after return from Dubai, had failed to adhere to lockdown guidelines of house quarantine.

The case was filed by Assistant Commissioner, Puttur, Dr Yathish Ullal.

The man, who returned from Dubai on March 21, had a seal on his hand and was supposed to stay at home for 14 days, but was seen roaming around the city, hence he was taken into custody and a case registered.

Mangaluru, Apr 25: In the backdrop of protest staged by locals against the cremation of a 75-year-old woman, who was tested positive for coronavirus, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B on Friday stated that there is no chance of anyone getting infected from a corpse.

Protocols, as laid by the Centre with regard to cremation of Covid-19 patients, will be followed, said Sindhu in a statement.

The release added that the COVID-19 victims would be buried as per their religious customs. Not more than 20 people would be allowed to perform the last rites. Even closest relatives of the deceased would not be allowed to touch or bathe the body, the release said.
