I won't rest until murderers of Kashimji brought to justice: Purushottam Poojary

Mangalore, September 17: Senior advocate Purushottam Poojary said that he wound not rest until achieving justice in Naushad Kashimji murder case.

Participating in an Eid get-together programme organised by the local unit of Popular Front of India here on Friday evening, Mr Poojary said once the Central Bureau of Investigation officially took over this case, the truth would come out.

Stating that he knows true answer for the question who killed Kashimji, the senior advocate said that the former's wife Nusrath Jahan would file a writ application before the high court soon.

He said that he never failed in any case and the he would definitely win in this case too.

Speaking on the occasion Beary Sahitya Academy Chairman M B Abdurrahman said an organisation like PFI was necessary to strengthen the Muslim community.

He said PFI should follow the model of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), who strived for the upliftment of underprivileged and downtrodden without any bias.

Veteran journalist V T Rajshekhar and thinker Deekayya were present among others

New Delhi, April 3: Chairman of Lulu Group, Yusuffali MA on Thursday contributed Rs 25 crores to the Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES) to combat coronavirus.

"I have humbly contributed INR 25 Crores to the PM Cares Fund to support all relief works in India's fight against the COVID-19," Yusuffali said in a tweet.

Last month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had created PM CARES Fund and appealed to all the countrymen to show their support for the cause.
The prime minister is the chairman of the trust and its members include the defence minister, the home minister and the finance minister.

Mysuru, Mar 24:m who returned from foreign travel and flouted home quarantine guidelines has been arrested in Mysuru on Monday. 

The man, who returned from Australia, had a seal on his hand but was roaming around the city. 

According to police, he was supposed to be under home quarantine till April 6. V V Puram Police took him into custody.

Hubballi, Jan 11: Karnataka Industries Minister Jagadeesh Shatter's mother Basvennamma Shivappa Shetter passed away here on Friday evening.

She was 86. She is survived by three sons and a daughter.

The final rituals was held on Saturday, family sources said.
