Mangalore, October 3: Hundreds of Hajj pilgrims, who are expected to leave for the holy city of Makkah from Mangalore on Tuesday, are doing last minute preparation.
The registration for Hajj-2011 started at a camp at Old Terminal near Kenjaru, Bajpe here on Sunday.
The process of registration launched with Abdul Rahman and Khatheejamma couple and two of their family members from Bantwal taluk getting their names registered for pilgrimage this year.
State Hajj Committee Member Saleem Ambagilu, Muhsin Ali Golemale, Mustak Ahmed Shimoga, DK District Wakf Advisory Board President Usman Haji, Central Hajj Committee Officer Hashim Parker, State Hajj Committee Officer Muher Pasha, Yahya Naqva, Haneef Haji, Basheer Haji, A B Bajal and others were present.
State Hajj Wakf Board Member Yenepoya Muhammad Kunhi inspected the camp later in the evening.




Mangaluru, Jan 11: Reacting to the recent video clippings provided to the media by former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy in connection with the December 19 unrest in Mangaluru, city Police Commissioner Dr PS Harsha on Saturday said that the video has to be seen in a proper sequence to come to a conclusion on the happenings of that day.
