Kasaragod based youth held with 280gm ganja near Kadri Park

Mangalore, October 12: A 24-year-old youth was arrested by Mangalore city police on Tuesday on charges of possession of drugs and seized 280 grams of ganja from him.

The accused has been identified as Ibrahim KM from Mulleria in Kasaragod district of nearby Kerala.

Acting on a tip off, a team of Mangalore East Police arrested the accused near Kadri Park.

After detaining the youth, who was wandering suspiciously near the park, police opened his bag, which contained a packed of ganja weighing 280 grams.

A case has been registered at Mangalore East Police Station.

Bengaluru, May 21: Karnataka reported 116 fresh cases of coronavirus on Thursday, taking the state tally to 1578. 

So far, 570 people have been cured and discharged while 41 have succumbed to the virus, informed the state health department.

Out of the 116 cases, 71 have a history of inter-state travel history to Maharashtra.

Out of the 116 cases, 27 are from Udupi alone, 15 cases are reported from Mandya and 13 are from Hassan. Bengaluru Urban saw seven new cases.

Udupi, Mar 8: The 75-year old man who was admitted to Udupi District Hospital over suspected Corona Virus infection has tested negative on Saturday.

The reports from Bengaluru Medical College’s laboratory where the samples of the person were sent, confirmed that the aged person was not infected with Corona Virus.

The report was submitted to the District Administration by the laboratory that confirmed that the person was not infected by the viral Corona Virus.

Bengaluru, Jan 7: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths held an international bookie in connection with the Karnataka Premier League (KPL) betting scam and spot-fixing racket, police said on Tuesday.

The bookie was identified as Jitin Sait (32), a native of Sonipat in Haryana.

'We had obtained and issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Sait, and on Sunday, he was caught after he landed at the Kempegowda International Airport from the Netherlands.
