PMA Razak elected president of the builders' apex body

Mangalore, November 17: Chairman and Managing Director of Plama Developers Limited, P.M.A. Razak has been elected the president of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) Mangalore chapter a two year term from 2011.

He has already served as the president of the Canara Builders Association.

Well-known architect and consultant Dharmaraj has been elected the secretary while Noel F.C. has been elected the joint secretary. Other office-bearers are Felix Albuquerque (treasurer), K.C. Naik, Ganesh Bangera, Roshan Motheiro, William D'Souza, Dr. Errol Pinto and Siraj Ahmed (committee members).

Udupi, Jan 16: The mandatory implementation of FASTag, across the country, was not enforced in the toll gates located in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts.

The toll gate personnel cited that they had not received any directions from the NHAI and hence vehicles were being allowed to ply as per the current practice.

As per government order, two gates each have to be reserved for locals, emergency entry and cash transactions. All other lanes are to be used for FASTag.

Mangaluru, Mar 26: About 2,771 people are home-quarantined in the wake of the novel coronavirus in Dakshina Kannada district here, Deputy Commissioner said on Wednesday.

"Meanwhile, about 20 people have completed the mandated 28 days of quarantine, DC Sindhu B Rupesh said in a statement here.

More than 38,000 people from the district have been screened and seven are admitted and are under observation, he added.

Udupi, May 21: In a shocking development, as many as 27 fresh coronavirus positive cases were reported in the coastal district of Udupi today. 

Another shocker is, 16 among 27 covid-19 patients are children. The rest are six men and five women. 

Interestingly, all of them have inter-state travel history. 23 had come from Maharashtra and 3 from Telangana. Another one had come from Kerala to Manipal. More details are awaited.
