Mangalore, December 17: The Beary's group, well known for its real estate and educational projects across the city is now venturing into the knowledge based industry of Information Technology. The Bearys Global InfoTech Ltd(BGIL), an IT company which will be focusing on projects both international and domestic is all set to take off at the year's end.

Speaking at a news conference Chief Managing Director Syed Mohammed Beary gave a glimpse of the kind of services they will be offering. The company will be using networking applications like RFID and cloud based applications to offer services to schools, colleges and hospitals. It would create more jobs in the city as bigger metros are becoming more costly to live in.

The CEO of the BGIL Praveen Kalbhavi said, “Our business plan will focus mainly on IT services and platform solutions. The platform solutions will give smart remedies to healthcare, retail, real estate and telecom. The countries we are focusing are mainly in Europe, US and the Middle East. For schools our technology can be used to track students right from their home to school while they are travelling. We are also working on ways to make the supply of medicines in hospitals easy. The BGIL already has connections with major IT firms like Microsoft. They will also be providing back end support through a primary development center which now has 40 employees. Real estate projects can be monitored through their innovative solutions. Since the firm has a well-connected network within itself it can offer solutions across industries”

Director of BGIL, Mohammed Jarood said,” We will be using cloud based technology which is basically a server hosted on the internet. The database is accessed through the internet and our server is maintained by amazon.com. We have also partnered with telecom giant Motorola to use our RFID application. Although we had this idea in our minds for 6 years we have only now been able to put it into real time usage.”

He said that the company has been operational since 6 months and already has a clientele from foreign countries like Finland and the US. This firm will create opportunities for local population as many women employees prefer to work closer to home rather than being in metro cities. Projects like tracking systems, cloud based technologies and networking applications will be the focus area.

Joint Directors of the firm Hanif Mohammed and Shihab Kalandar were also present on this occasion.

Bengaluru, Jan 21: Karnataka Chief Minister's political adviser MP Renukacharya has courted controversy yet again with his remarks targeting the Muslim community at a pro-CAA rally in Karnataka on Monday.

Addressing a rally in support of the new citizenship law, the BJP lawmaker accused Muslims of collecting weapons in mosques instead of praying. "There are few traitors who sit in a masjid and write fatwas. They collect weapons inside the mosque instead of praying. Is this why you want a Masjid," Renukacharya said on Monday.

Renukacharya said he won't hesitate to use the money allotted to Muslims for Hindus. "I will resort to such politics in my taluk where the money allotted for Muslims can be used for Hindus. I will put you [Muslims] in your place and show what politics is," said Renukacharya, who is a close aide of CM BS Yediyurappa.

This is not the first time a Karnataka BJP leader has made communal remarks targeting the minority community. Earlier, BJP MLA Somashekar Reddy had made controversial remarks at a pro-citizenship law protest in Ballari when he asked those opposing the Citizenship (Amendment) Act to think of the "consequences" if the majority community members hit the streets against them.

The MLA had said, "If you do any drama, then if 100 per cent people come, understand what will be your situation. Congress people are lying to you, believing them you are coming on streets. We are 80 per cent, you are 17 per cent, if we react, what will be your situation? Be careful," Reddy had said.

Following outrage, a case was filed against Somashekar Reddy for alleged provocative speech targeting those protesting against the amended citizenship law.

The marriage took place as per Hindu rituals.

DH had earlier reported that the Jamaath Committee will conduct the marriage ceremony considering the request of the bride's mother, who hailed from a financially weak background.

Kerala Chief Minister Mr Pinarayi Vijayan shared the picture of the marriage on his social media post citing it as yet another instance of communal harmony in Kerala.

Madikeri, Mar 29: In an alarming situation in neighbouring Kerala State and instances of inter-state migration of Coronavirus suspects, the authorities on Sunday sealed both Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu borders, prohibiting entry of people from Kerala into Karnataka.

Dakshina Kannada had sealed its borders after repeated instances of people misusing ambulance services to travel to Mangalore. Villagers along with the police hauled mud on to the roads that were used as alternate routes.

The road that connects the two States, which people from east Kasargod used to enter into Karnataka, were closed at Mulleria by dumping mud on the road.
