Mangalore, January 19: An elderly man was allegedly murdered by his neighbour on Wednesday due to trivial reasons at Shakinagar, here.
The deceased has been identified as Narasimha (70), a local resident. His neighbour Ganesh (33), an auto rickshaw driver is the accused.
It is learnt that an argument broke out between the families of Narasimha and Ganesh, when the former's wife allowed her dog to urinate on the premises of latter's house, ended up in brutal murder.
Initially the verbal clash broke out between the wives of Narasimha and Ganesh. When the husbands came to support their wives the situation worsened and in a fit of rage, Ganesh hit Narasimha's head with an iron rod.
Although Narasimha was rushed to a hospital, doctors pronounced him brought dead.
Kankanady Police have arrested the accused after registering a case.
