Karwar, February 9: The car festival (rathotsava) of the Ulavi Channabasaveshwara temple in Joida taluk concluded on Wednesday with devotees pulling the rath (temple car).
It is estimated that over two lakh devotees visited Ulavi during the 10-day-long festival.
Ulavi is a place of pilgrimage for the Veerashaiva and Lingayat community and the devotees mainly from North Karnataka visit her during Rathotsava.
Traditional arts like Veeragase and Veerabhadra were performed by the devotees during the festival.
On Friday evening, Gangadhar Kittur chairman of Channabasaveshwar Trust committee and other trustees Sanjay Kittur, B.C. Umapathi, Doddagowda, and R.V. Hosamath pulled the rath at the temple.
