Mangalore, February 9: The protests erupted in the city against the disgraced BJP MLAs who caught watching porn clippings during Assembly proceedings, continued on Thursday with JD(S) members staging a demonstration in front of the DC office, demanding the expulsion of the tainted trio.

Addressing the protesters JDS State Secretary MG Hegde said that his party would continue protest until expulsion of Mangalore North MLA Krishna J Palemar and his two colleagues from the Assembly for undermined the sanctity of the Assembly. The issue is a permanent black spot in the history of Karnataka politics.

Calling Mr Palemar as 'Polymer', Mr Hegde accused the former of being a distributer of 'blue films'.

“May be the saffron party's manifest for the forthcoming election manifesto will be offering a mobile set with free downloading option to each citizen,” he ridiculed.

Mr Hegde went on to hold RSS responsible for the issue, as the MLAs who involved in porngate hailed from Sangh Parivar.

Lashing out at the regional chief of RSS Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, he asked where the former was hiding when his pet ministers were watching blue film clippings inside the temple of democracy.

“You accuse the people of minority communities of spoiling the culture of the country. But, what is your reaction for the shameless behaviour of BJP ministers?”, he questioned Mr Bhat.

He also recalled that when JDS and Congress members had consumed non-vegetarian food in the Vidhana Soudha, BJP leaders had gone to the extent of conducting 'homa' for 'purification'. What kind of ritual should be conducted now to purify the Assembly now?, he questioned.

JDS leaders Amarnath Shetty, Shashidhar Raj, Vasanth Poojary, Aziz Kudroli, and Venkatesh N Rao among others were present.
