“Indira Gandhi had assured to give a railway line from Kadur to Chikmagalur. If at all the dream is coming true by the next January, it's only because of efforts of former Chikmagalur MP late Srikantappa and me. We want to extend it till Sakaleshpur”, he said

Mr Eshwarappa on his part said that leaders like C M Ibrahim and Siddaramiah when they were in JD(S), had been calling Indira Gandhi an international prostitute. However, the same leaders after joining Congress started accusing BJP leaders and praising Indira and Sonia, he said.

Law Amendment

He said Union ministers of Congress party who represented Udupi and Chikmagalur region did not strive for the development of the region.
