Mangalore police rescue bank manager from kidnappers

Mangalore, March 19: The city police have rescued the Kadri branch manager of HDFC Bank, within hours after he was kidnapped by a group of miscreants on Monday morning.

The kidnappers also were arrested in the successful operation by a police team led by city crime branch inspector Venkatesh Prasanna.

It is learnt that Tilak, who is the manager in the loan collection department, was kidnapped by a gang of five kidnappers near the bank. However police caught them near Veeranagara on the outskirts of the city. Kanakanady police also had taken part in the operation with CCB police.

The miscreants had hired an auto rickshaw to achieve their goal. However, police sources said that the auto rickshaw driver identified as Harish did not know about the conspiracy of the miscreants.

Unofficial sources said that the manager's relationship with a girl was the main reason for the kidnap bid. “He was in love with a girl, whose family members strongly opposed their relationship”, said a source close to the manager.

Mangaluru, April 3: A police officer in Sullia town of Dakshina Kannada district got injured on Friday after unidentified youth pelted stones at him.

The incident took place when the cop stopped them from entering into the state from Kerala in the view of nationwide lockdown. He was later administered medical aid.

Bengaluru, May 28: A complaint has been filed against BJP Karnataka state president and Lok Sabha member Nalin Kumar Kateel by the Congress Legislators charging him with issuing false information on Coronavirus to mislead the people.

The complaint was filed by MLCs Ivan D’Souza and Prakash Rathod at Vidhana Soudha police station on Thursday.

In the complaint they had alleged that “Kateel has been spreading false information that the position of World Health Organization’s (WHO) Chairman was given to India in appreciation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s achievement in Coronavirus management. 

In reality, the position was given to India on the basis of rotation. India’s stature gets affected because of such childish statements at the international level.”

Kochi, Mar 2: The Vatican has rejected the second appeal by Sister Lucy Kalappura -- one of the nuns who protested against rape accused Bishop Franco Mulakkal -- against her expulsion from Franciscan Clarist Congregation (FCC).

In her plea, she had demanded that her version be heard and her expulsion from FCC revoked.

She was expelled from FCC for participating in public protests demanding the arrest of Franco Mulakkal in the nun rape case.

''I got a letter from Vatican which says my appeal has been rejected. But the rest of the letter is written in the Latin language. So after I understand it, I will respond," Sister Lucy told news agency.

''The authorities are contemptuous of those who make such complaints. That is why the letter is written in Latin. Sister Lucy would continue her legal fight in the courts,'' said George Moolechalil, who has been authorised by Sister Lucy to communicate with the media on her behalf.

A petition of Sister Lucy is still pending at Mananthavady Munsif Court at Wayanad that demands that she should not be expelled from the convent where she is staying.

Unfortunately the Chrisitianity is no more in its originality.

The holy bible has been systematically abused and edited to the benefits of rulers.

 

 
The book has been contaminated with lots of editions.

 

People should search for truth and follow it.

 

Example, the religion never told to remain unmarried for priests or nuns.

They go against its teaching inveting their own idea against God's teaching.
