Audio cassettes of 'Bangarda Kural' released

Mangalore, March 25: The audio cassettes of upcoming Tulu film 'Bangarda Kural' was released at a function with the film crew in attendance at the Town Hall in the city on Saturday.

The film directed by renowned stunt director Ram Shetty is slated for a May release.

Bangarda Kural is the third Tulu film being directed by Ram Shetty who has directed over 500 films.

His second film 'Darada Cere' was released 30 years ago, informs film producer Adyar Madhav Naik.

Art director Thamanna Lakshmana told media persons that the shooting of the film had been complicated within 20 days.

The film shot in Mumbai and Mangalore with digital technology will be submitted to the Censor Board soon.

The film with Shivadhwaj, Pakki Hegde and Namratha Hegde playing lead role has music composed by V Manohar.

The audio cassettes were launched by Bangalore based Akash Audio Company.

Bhopal, Mar 12: Madhya Pradesh Congress on Thursday alleged that two of its ministers who had gone to Bengaluru to meet the rebel party legislators were assaulted.

"Two of our ministers Jitu Patwari and Lakhan Singh had gone to Bengaluru. They were assaulted, we have info that our ministers have been arrested," Madhya Pradesh Congress leader said during a press conference.

Congress further warned that if the police don't take action, the party will take it to the court.

Some of the rebel MLAs had said in a video on Wednesday that they were in Bengaluru out of their own will.

The rebel MLAs have been staying in Bengaluru over the past few days.

Udupi, May 2: During the lockdown period the Department of Public Library digitised more books to the Karnataka Digital Public Library (KDPL).

According to the data released by the KDPL issued here on Saturday , as on April 29, 89,239 people from the State have already registered for the digital library.  From these 1,807 are from Dakshina Kannada district and 605 from the Udupi district.

The digital library already has a repository of 35,500 e-books, 4,800 videos, 59,980 e-journals and 1,112 items for children.

Shimoga, May 10: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa was all praise for a nine-month pregnant nurse, who is still attending to work at a Covid-dedicated hospital in the state, braving all odds in the wake of novel coronavirus pandemic.

Roopa, a resident of Gajanur, works at the Sri Jayachamarajendra Taluk Hospital in Tirthahalli.

The Chief Minister called the nurse up and admired her sense of duty after he came to know that she has been turning up at the hospital despite being in the advanced stage of pregnancy.
