Honnamma, mother of Mr. Vittal, had approached the court to obtain its permission for her son to write his internal as well as semester examinations.
The Court, favouring the argument that Mr. Vittal's future should not be affected because of the current circumstances, allowed him on Monday to authorise a third party to fill in the application form for the examination.
Shiv Shankar Murthy, the Vice-Chancellor of Mangalore University had earlier informed Ms. Honnamma that Mr. Vittal has to sign the application form for the examination personally and only if the court permits him can he authorize a third party to fill application and write his exams.
An appeal will be filed by Ms. Honnamma in the court along with the time-table of Mr. Vittal's internal examinations to be held soon and his attendance details.
Mr. Vittal's internal examinations are scheduled to be held in the first week of April and semester exams are to be held in the first week of May.
