Mangalore, May 4: The Campus Career Academy is conducting 'Future+ Summer Camp' for students from class V to class X.

A press release issued here stated that the camp would take place between May 7 and May 19 at C-24, 2nd floor, Al Rahaba Plaza, Near SBI, Nellikai Road, Mangalore.

The 12 day camp will offer talent and personality test, interaction with government officials, developing memory power, learning, listening and speaking skills, crafts, music and dance, magic show, puppet making, games, drawing, basic yoga, communicative English, advanced computers, interaction with media persons, picnic and many other such activities, the release said.

The release said that the priority would be given to students' interest and talent level. Limited seats are available. For registrations candidates are requested to contact: 9164622502.

Mangaluru, Feb 28: In a shocking incident, an engineering student has committed suicide on the railway track at the Someshwara railway station near Ullal on the outskirts of the city.

The deceased has been identified as S Rayagowda (23) from Belgaum.

It is suspected that he resorted to the extreme step due depression after love failure. Railway police are investigating the matter.

Mangaluru, Jun 29: An elderly woman who was tested positive for coronavirus, breathed her last at the designated covid hospital in the city today.

The deceased was a 60-year-old resident of Ullal.

According to sources, the woman, was getting treated for ailments related to liver and heart.

Bengaluru, Jun 30: To instill confidence among its commuters, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has decided to put stamp on hand of all passengers before they are allowed to board the buses.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, The decision was taken in the wake of a sudden jump in the number of COVID-19 cases reported from Bengaluru.

The round stamp is, however, different from 'home-quarantine' stamp applied to infected and they were not allowed to travel. Officials said that the measure is aimed at reassuring passengers that those travelling with them do not have symptoms. The left hand will be stamped with an ink which can be washed away by the time they reach home.
