Kudroli Ganesh enthralls kids at summer camp valedictory

Mangalore, May 19: Curtains came down on 'Future+ Summer Camp', with well-known magician Kudroli Ganesh enthralling the students through his special talent.

The 12 day-long camp was organised by the Campus Career Academy for students from class V to class X in the city.

Mr Ganesh also taught secrets of some easy magic to the enthusiastic kids present in the valedictory ceremony.

He said magic is a special art, which requires concentration and training.

Speaking on the occasion lecture Abdul Razzak Ananthady exhorted the children to utilize the facilities and opportunities available in these days to boost their talents and exhibit them. The summer camps are indeed a good opportunity for children, he added.

Businessman B A Akbar Ali advised the parents not to pressurise their children while learning. “Kids require guidance and not pressure”, he said.

Chairperson of the Academy Umar U H said that parents or guardians should not criticise the children, who are poor in studies. It is the responsibility of the elders to encourage such children and help them to become a good citizen.

Prizes were distributed on the occasion for winners of various competitions.

NRI Saleem Althaf and Advocate B A Mohammed Haneef were present on the occasion.

Shivamogga, May 21: A quarantine facility at Bapuji Nagar in Shivamogga on Wednesday evening was vandalised, by a group of people. leading to chaos.

The police had to resort to baton-charge to control the situation.

Locals were opposing the facility, which is being used to isolate travellers from different states in the view of coronavirus.

Deputy Commissioner KB Sivakumar said that the police department will investigate and book a case against the protesters.

Mangaluru, April 3: A police officer in Sullia town of Dakshina Kannada district got injured on Friday after unidentified youth pelted stones at him.

The incident took place when the cop stopped them from entering into the state from Kerala in the view of nationwide lockdown. He was later administered medical aid.

Bengaluru, Apr 1: As many as 12 of the 40 identified people from Karnataka, who attended Tablighi congregation in Nizamuddin, Delhi, have tested negative for COVID-19, state Health Minister B Sriramulu said in a tweet on Wednesday.

It is also learnt that 62 foreigners from Indonesia and Malaysia, who attended the congregation, have visited the State and 12 of them have been quarantined, the tweet said.

''The health department, in association with the Home department, has jointly started the process of identifying all the 300 who attended the event,'' he said.
