Mangalore: Expert, Boscoss students shine in CET

Mangalore, June 6: As the Common Entrance Test results were out on Wednesday, tension on the face of the PUC students were relieved and were smiling. Several students from Dakshina Kannada district have excelled in the CET.

As usual several students of city based Expert P U College, and students who received postal coaching from Expert and Boscoss Tutorials have secured the top 100 CET ranks.

Prithesh Kumar N, who received postal coaching from Boscoss Tutorials secured second rand in Medicine. He also secured 14th rank in Engineering. Veeresh l M of Expert PU College secured third rank in Medical and seventh rank in ISMH.

As many as eight students from Expert PU College and 16 students, who received postal coaching from Expert secured their positions in top 50 in CET ranking.

Bengaluru, May 1: Former underworld don and real-estate baron Muthappa Rai was admitted to Manipal hospital in Bengaluru on Thursday.

As per sources, Muttappa Rai’s condition is said to be serious.

Muthappa Rai was diagnosed with brain cancer two years ago and had undergone treatment at hospitals in New Delhi, Chennai and Bengaluru.

Uppinangady, Feb 16: Eleven people were injured, when a private bus in which they were travelling, toppled near Kodikal on Sunday, police said.

According to Police, more than 20 people were travelling in the bus towards Puttur from Sakleshpur when the mishap took place.

All the inmates were on their way to attend a wedding.

Mangaluru, Jul 4: In the wake of mounting coronavirus cases in Dakshina Kannada, all jewellery shops district will be closed for five days from July 5 to July 9.

The decision was taken by the Dakshina Kannada district unit of Jewellers’ Association.

All the jewellery shops including corporate jewellery shops in Manglauru and other parts of district will remain closed for five days, a media release said.
