Udupi, June 22: The bodies of three persons, who fell into a pond at Moodugiliyaru village in Kota police station limits, were recovered on Thursday.
Raju (50), his son Kiran (17) and their relative Narasimha (60) went missing at around 5.30 pm on Wednesday when they had gone to the village for farm work where they fell into the pond accidently. Since they did not return home by 8.30 p.m., their families alerted the police.
Policemen and personnel of Fire and Emergency Services traced the bodies.
The pond was an artificially created one due to removal of clay and was in the midst of fields.
Raju and Narasimha were working at Malpe port while Kiran was PUC student at Kota Viveka P U College.
A case has been registered at Kota police station.
