Mangalore, July 21: The city police have reportedly taken two persons into custody in connection with the brutal murder of Shivaraj, a car mechanic, whose dead body was found near Thokur on Friday.
The identity of the detained duo was not yet released by the police.
Police said Shivaraj was taken by a couple of persons in van on Thursday night saying their another vehicle had developed starting trouble. Shivaraj did not return home and his body was found in a drain near a railway track next morning.
The deceased Shivaraj was a close friend of a person identified as Lokesh, who is accused in the murder of a person identified as Kabir in 2011.
Meanwhile, two persons, identified as Jamaluddin and Kalandar Shakeel were stabbed by a gang of miscreants at Kulai on Friday evening.
Police have denied that stabbing was concerning the murder of Shivaraj. ![]()
