Bangalore, August 5: Brushing aside the claims of State Women's Commission chief C Manjula, who recently had stated that failure and negligence of Mangalore police led to the homestay attack, Home Minister R Ashoka said that police were carrying out their duty.
“There was no question of police failure. Within eight hours of the attack on the homestay, police arrested eight of the accused.
