Mangalore, August 12: Mangalore still has supporters for the anti-corruption movement. This was demonstrated when members of the South Canara wing of Bharat Swabhiman Trust (BST) staged a vehicle rally across the city on August 12 in support of Baba Ramdev's agitation in Delhi.
The rally began from the Mangalore City Corporation up till the Deputy Commissioner's Office via Ambedkar Circle and back again. Around 20-25 vehicles took part in it.
Speaking to Coastaldigest.com, Veena Shetty, a member of BST, said that they undertook the rally to support the anti-corruption movement in India and to bring back the black money from Swiss banks. “Baba Ramdev has been fasting from the past three days now and we want to show that we support his cause. We want to bring an end to the corrupt system, since we are all affected by it,” she said.
