Padubidri, August 29: Three individuals who are suspected to have stolen a four-wheeler parked outside a house, here, a month ago have been caught by the police in Kasargod, and handed over to Padubidri police.
The arrested have been identified as Kareem, a resident of Vidyanagar at Seethangoli in Kasargod, Ameer alias Ammi from Shantipalla at Kumbla and Samshuddin alias Sacchu alias Icchu, residing near Railway station at Thalangara. The trio has been produced in a court.
Last month, Abdur-rahman, a resident of Kannangar By-pass in Padubidri police station limits, found his car missing which had been parked outside his house. A complaint was registered at the Padubidri police station on the matter.
It is believed that with the intention of robbery, the three accused had travelled from Kasargod to Byndoor and allegedly stole a four-wheeler parked outside a house. Later, they arrived at Kannangar and stole a Maruti 800 car parked in front of a house. The accused were travelling in the same Maruti 800 they had stolen.
The incident came to light when the Kasargod police, who grew suspicious over the number-plate, stopped the car. Later they were arrested and handed over to Padubidri police. The car was also seized by Kasargod police.
