
Manipal, September 30: Twenty portraits of veteran editors of India, many of whom were also freedom fighters, will be unveiled at the Manipal Institute of Communication here on October 1.
Jnanpith Award-winner U.R. Ananthamurthy will unveil the portraits and deliver a talk on “Mahatma Gandhi and contemporary India”.
Veteran journalist M.V. Kamath will preside over the function. The portraits of Mahatma Gandhi, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Dadabhai Naoroji, S.A. Brelvi, S. Sadanand, K. Natarajan, Stalin Srinivasan, M.N. Roy, Ramanand Chatterjee, and Khasa Subba Rao will be released.

Mangaluru, Jan 16: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is holding rallies and meetings and distributing booklets across the country in support of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, said ABVP National Secretary Harsha Narayan here on Thursday.
