Mangalore, October 13: Four teenaged girls, who went missing after attending classes on Friday evening, were traced by the city Police early on Saturday morning.
The missing girls identified as Lavanya, Dhanyasree, Ruthika and Pratiksha -all Class 8 students of Capitanio High School in the city- were found in a house near ESI hospital at Shivbhag in the city.
It is learnt that they had taken shelter at a house of a lone woman, who out of compassion allowed the girls to spend night.
As soon as the police came to know the whereabouts of the girls, they rushed to the house in which they were staying and took them to the station before handing them over to their parents.
The girls reportedly told police that they had decided to run away as they had got very less marks in the examinations and tests.
