Already 23 students pursuing SSLC, PUC, degree and professional courses had been given student emolument. In the second round, 17 students were offered the same, totaling the amount to 40.
Speaking on the occasion, NRI businessman Sheikh Akhtar said that higher education and competitive education must also be focused on. Good quality education can benefit the community and society, he said.
NRI businessman K S Sheikh Karnire, secretary M M Azeem, treasurer Nazeer Ahmed, Zameer Ambar, journalist Pushparaj were present at the programme and gave away the emoluments.
President of city unit of Jamiyyatul Falah B S Mohammed Basheer welcomed the gathering while M M Azeem proposed a vote of thanks.
