Udupi, November 9: A middle aged tree-climber succumbed to his injuries after falling from a coconut-tree at Kollur in Udupi district on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Narasimha Shetty.
The incident occurred when Shetty had claimed the tall tree to pluck coconuts. All of a sudden he lost balance and slipped down.
A case has been registered at jurisdictional Kollur police station.

As per a report in Zoom, the actor was rushed to the KIMS Hospital in Bengaluru after he suddenly collapsed at his home.
Michael Madhu, in his career spanning of almost two decades, has acted in more than 300 films. Some of his notable works include Bhajarangi, Shhh! and Ashwamedha. Besides being an impeccable actor, especially his perfect comic timings, Michael was also passionate about dancing and was huge fan of Michael Jackson. This was one of the major reasons why he added Michael to his name. He had entered the film industry with an aim to become a popular choreographer, but destiny had something else in store for him. Michael Madhu is survived by his wife and two daughters.
Fans of Michael Madhu have been sharing condolences on social media ever since the news of his death hit the internet. As per a report in media, the actor’s last rites will take place today.

Bengaluru, May 11: Karnataka Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar today held a video conference with Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja to discuss measures to tackle COVID-19.
The ministers discussed in detail the protocols for testing, quarantine and treatment for COVID-19 that are being followed by both the states.
The Karnataka Health Department on Monday said that 10 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the state, taking the total number of positive cases to 858.
"31 people have lost their lives due to coronavirus in the state and 422 persons have been discharged after recovery," the Health Department added.
Kerala, on the other hand, has tackled the coronavirus crisis better than most other states of the country. There are only 19 active cases of COVID-19 in the state while 489 people have recovered. The death toll in the state is 4, according to the data published by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday.
