
Mr. Modi has been serving as the Chief Minister of Gujarat from the past 10 years. Although there are many Muslims in Gujarat, they are not terrorists. By stating that Muslims will become terrorists if Mr. Modi is made Prime Minister of India, Mr. Chisthi has sowed seeds of suspicion on Muslims. He has betrayed Muslims, Mr. Sampath said.
The VHP leader also said on the occasion that following radar photography survey conducted by Canadian scientists and findings of Archeological Survey of India (ASI), evidences for existence of a Hindu temple on the disputed site in Ayodhya have been found. The Central government must hence hand over the land to Hindus. But the Uttar Pradesh government has instead come forward to grant Rs. 100 crore to set up an Islamic Cultural Centre for Muslims at the disputed site, he said.
VHP leader MB Puranik and Bajarang Dal chief Sharan Pumpwell were also present.
