Mangalore, November 18: The bail application filed by television journalist Naveen Soorinje who was arrested in connection with infamous home stay attack was rejected by the III JMF Court on Saturday.
Mr Soorinje, the prime witness to the attack allegedly carried out by the members of Hindu Jagaran Vedike, is the 44th accused in the case.
Advocate Sathish Bantwal filed the bail application before III JMFC on behalf of Mr Soorinje on November 8. Investigating officer, assistant commissioner of police TR Jagannath submitted the investigation report before the court on November 9.
It was contended in the bail plea that Mr Soorinje is innocent and police have foisted a false case against him.
However, hearing the objections of the assistant public pleader, judge Renuka Devidas Raikar rejected the bail plea of Mr Soorinje.
