nazeerMangalore, November 20: “The BS Yeddyurappa led Karnataka Janatha Paksha (KJP) has come about as an opportunity for minorities and backward classes which they should utilise. With their additional support to Mr. Yeddyurappa who already has the backing of a large community, KJP will form government after the Assembly elections,” said Mohammed Nazir Ahmed, Secretary, KJP.

He was in Mangalore with a view to strengthen the party base and its organisation.

Politics of mistruth is being carried out both at the centre and state levels. KJP is not about politics. Serving the people of all communities is of paramount importance. The objective of the party can be figured out from the list of the office bearers of the party. Importance has been given to all communities. High posts have been given to Dalits and minorities, he said.

Mr. Yeddyurappa will unravel the road ahead at the party convention to be held at Haveri on December 9. Prior to this convention, state wide tour is being carried out by various members of the party. Stating that he has been made in-charge of the Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts, Mr. Ahmed said that people have given KJP a good response. “We are not looking for leaders. We are creating activists for the party”, he said.

The Congress has continued the British policy of divide and rule when it comes to minorities and Dalits. People are looking for an alternate political force. KJP will emerge as that alternative, he said.

Mr. Ahmed was earlier serving as the President of the National Diciplinary Committee of the Janatha Dal (United). He also played a part in strengthening BSP in Karnataka alongside AK Subbayya and B Krishnappa.
