Mangalore, November 24: Protesting against the Zionist regime's blatant aggression against humanity, Dakshina Kannada district unit of Jama'ath-e-Islami Hind- Youth Wing on Friday staged a demonstration in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner in the city.
The main demand of the agitators was that the government of India should snap all ties with the occupying regime of Israel, whose military recently renewed its aggression against besieged Gaza Strip killing over 160 people and injuring over 1200 civilians.
Addressing the protesters Muhammad Kunhi, Manager, Shanti Prakashana, said that by cutting all relationship with Israel, India should send a strong message to the world that it would not tolerate terrorism.
Lashing out at United States of America for its hollow claims of war on terror and continued support to the terrorism of Israel, he said that being a member of Non Aligned Movement, India should not show double standard as far as terrorism is concerned.
"We demand an end to the trade and military ties between India and Israel. We should not buy Israeli arms and ammunition neither should we trade anything with the terrorist state," said another speaker.
The protesters also urged the Indian government to change its foreign policy and adopt the policy of Gandhi and Nehru which was sympathetic to the Palestine cause.
