Bangalore, November 29: The Karnataka high court has once again adjourned the hearing in the case of provocative speech delivered by RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat at a Hindu Samajotsava in Uppinangady last year.
Considering the appeal of Bhat's advocate who asked for additional time to file objections to the transcript of the speech, the divisional bench comprising of Chief Justice Vikramajit Sen and Justice B V Nagaratna adjourned the hearing to a later date.
It is worth mentioning here that Suresh Bhat Bakrabail of Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike had filed a public interest litigation charging Bhat with hate speech at the Samajotsava.
The High Court had directed the police to submit a transcript of the alleged incendiary speech last month. The advocate for the petitioner AK Subbaiah had produced the same before the court earlier this month.
However, on Wednesday when the hearing commenced the advocate for the respondent sought further time to file objections to the transcript.
