Speaking to media persons in Mangalore on Saturday, Mr. Gowda said that it was inevitable for the party to get into a defensive mode with the dissidence of Mr. Yeddyurappa. He, however pointed out that now that Mr. Yeddyurappa is out of the party, the time is right for the party leadership to appoint a full time State President.
Commenting on the exit of Mr. Yeddyurappa, Mr. Gowda said that his future political plan of action is still a 'mysterious' one. Mr. Yeddyurappa is a politician who can “go to any extent” to fulfill what he wants, Mr. Gowda said.
The Former Chief Minister also said that the party will take action against people in the BJP camp, who identify with Mr. Yeddyurappa's group.
