Air India launches special fares on international destinations

Mangalore, December 12: Air India has launched a special all-inclusive promotional return fares on its international destinations as well, official sources said.

 

Earlier the airliner had introduced promotional fares for the domestic sector.

 

The new scheme is valid for out-bound travel with immediate effect to the far East and near East. On sectors to the USA, UK, Europe and UAE the validity of travel will be from January 21, 2013. The sale is open for seven days - that is from December 10 to 16.

 

According to Air India, the return fares, inclusive of all taxes, under this scheme are low ranging from Rs 15,999 to the UAE to just over Rs 50,000 to USA. For travel starting in Delhi the fares will be higher by Rs 2,000 to all the destinations. The fares have been launched for travel on more than 15 city pairs worldwide.

 

Some of the fares under the scheme are: America (New York, Newark and Chicago) Rs 51,999; UK (London) Rs 40,999; Europe (Frankfurt and Paris) Rs 35,999; UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah) Rs 15,999; Far East (Seoul, Osaka and Tokyo) Rs 34,999 and near East(Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore) will be Rs 17,999.

 

This offer ensures that passengers, who book early to avail the offer, will get an value for money and in the long run boost air travel in general during traditionally lean periods, the Air India spokesperson said. Hubli, Jun 12: An inspector of Hubli Rural police station on Friday was suspended for delaying the submission of a charge sheet in the matter relating to sedition charges against three Kashmiri students for making a video with pro-Pakistan slogan.

A second Joint Magistrate First Class (JMFC) court in February sent the three students, identified as Basit Ashik Sophi (19), Talib Majid (19) and Amir Mohiuddin (23), to police custody till February 28.

The Kashmiri students are under judicial custody since February 17 following their arrest for raising pro-Pakistan slogans and posting a video of the same on social media on the night of February 16.

Mysuru, Mar 7: Former minister and senior Congress leader and sitting MLA Tanveer Sait has shot off a letter to state Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai expressing his dissatisfaction over the slow progress in the investigations regarding the attack on him.

In the letter, which he released to the press on Saturday, he claimed that although the police have already arrested the culprit, but it is yet to find the real masterminds, leaders or organisation behind the attack.

Mr Sait urged the Home Minister to request the police to speed up their investigation and solve the case at the earliest and give him justice.

Mangaluru, Apr 26: City Police Commissioner P S Harsha on Sunday said that the news about the implementation of seal down in some wards of Mangaluru city is fake and urged the public not to pay any heed to it.

Taking to twitter, Mr Harsha wrote, ''Some miscreants are floating some old speculative…TV news reports of seal down in some wards of Mangaluru city. It’s fake news.....Don’t Heed to fake news.''
