Mangalore, December 16: 'Chella Pilli', a Kannada feature film which is in production stage, starring popular actors Vijay Raghavendra and Aishwarya Nag in the lead, will also feature former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda in a three-minute role as himself in the movie.
Since most of the filming is being done in the coastal region, Mr Gowda landed in the city on Saturday to face the camera during the making of few scenes in 'Chella Pilli'.
DVS, with his ever-present smile, shot for three scenes of the movie at a store in City Centre Mall here on Saturday. Displaying his acting skills, he reportedly shot the scenes in a single take. The videographer P L Ravi shot the former CM inaugurating a children's store in the mall, for the movie.
Mr Gowda effortlessly shot scenes where he inaugurates a children's store by the hands of a small girl. The girl who has previously been kidnapped by others in the movie, in the following scene gets reunited with her family, after which he spends few moments with the small girl.
Comprising of several popular Tulu artists from the region, the movie is an entertainer being directed by city-based Tulu director and theatre artist Sai Krishna and produced by businessman Sudesh Bhandary. Comedy artists such as Naveen D Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar and Sathish Bandale among others will be seen in the movie.
