Belthangady, December 15: It has been decided that a writ petition would be submitted to the High Court of Karnataka demanding a CBI probe into the Soujanya rape and murder case.
The decision was taken at a meeting at the Guruvayanakere Nagarika Seva Trust office where various organizations and public representatives took part. It was also decided that CBI probe be demanded into the 434 suicides and 16 murder cases which took place in Dharmasthala abd Ujire in the last 11 years and an appeal be submitted to the state government in this regard.
The action of Belthangady police inspector of registering an FIR against Somanath Nayak, President of the Trust, was condemned on the occasion.
