
Mangalore, May 9: Three girls who were involved in the Burkha issue at the Ganapathy High School in the city, have failed to get through in the SSLC examinations.
The girls were reportedly asked to remove their burkhas while writing the SSLC exams.
The parents of the girls have stated that they were emotionally and mentally disturbed during the days of the examinations following the happenings at the School. “The girls wanted to do well and score good marks in the SSLC exams. But because of the burkha issue, they got mentally and emotionally disturbed which is now reflected in the results” said Aziz, a parent.
Of the three girls who have failed, one hails from Jokatte while the other two are from Uppinangady.
