KMYA holds splendid ‘Ormmeppad-2012’

Riyadh, April 28: ‘Ormmeppad’ is the pure Beary word widely used as a watchword by `Katipalla Muslim Youth Association' (KMYA) to make their get-together-2012 sponsored by Malabar Gold and Diamond more attractive and out of the ordinary.

‘Ormmeppad’ was successfully organizsd at Al-Rushd resort in Riyadh, capital city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recently. Mangaloreans in Riyadh have actively participated in the gathering to make the event grand and successful.

The programme was started with recitation of Qur’anic verses and dua by M. Abdul Qayyoom, Media Secretary, KMYA. More than a thousand people took part in the gala that started at 9 p.m. and ended up at 3.30 a.m.

KMYA arranged Qira’ath competition, spot quiz-included of Islamic and other general knowledge etc. An Islamic lecture was delivered by Brother Mubeen Saheb, who spoke about the way of life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and urged to follow his way in earning our livelihood.

Sports and competitions like housie-housie, pot breaking game and tug of war for men and children were also conducted. Marhoom P M Zainuddin Memorial Beary Songs by his son Zakir Roshan. Special attraction of the event was talent (magic) show demonstrated by internationally known magician Mr. Musthafa. Audience, especially the children enjoyed this show. Separate events were also arranged for ladies and children with attractive prizes.

The main sponsor of the event was Malabar Gold & Diamond. The co-sponsors were Lulu Hyper Market, Safa Makka Poly Clinic and Alwatania Chicken and other various sponsors.

Abdul Qayyoom welcomed the gathering, Parvez Ali and Saif Katipalla conducted the programme and S.U.Zubair proposed vote of thanks. Mr. Abdul Jabbar, president KMYA conveyed gratitude to the sponsors, the audience and all office bearers and members of KMYA for making this event a successful.

Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) organized Blood Donation Camp at Latifa Hospital, Oud Mehta Dubai on April 23rd, 2020 in association with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and with support from Community Development Authority (CDA) Government of Dubai.

Blood Donation Drive started in the morning at 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Around 48 people participated in this drive and donated blood to support the Dubai Blood Bank.

A potential shortage of blood for transfusions has been occurred due to a significant reduction in voluntary blood donations during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The current pandemic, health services are now running with shortages of blood availability. To support the DHA Blood Bank KSCC taken initiative to ensure that blood donations continued and are safe for both the donor and the recipient.

After taking safety precaution and safe distance during the blood donation donors feeling happy and honored to participate and donate blood at this pandemic situation. Club Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi was also present during this event.

KSCC appreciated all the blood donors and be grateful to Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Community Development Authority (CDA), and Government of Dubai for their association for this event. They also thanked the volunteers and supporters.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.

Riyadh: On the occasion of 71st Republic Day of India, Karavali Welfare Association Riyadh (KWAR) conducted BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN on the 17th Jan 2020 at KING SAUD Universities King Khalid University Hospital, Riyadh. 

This is one of KWARs Prestigious Humanitarian EVENT every year, as we are indebted to serve the society for a Great Cause.

The campaign began at 08:30 am with a theme of Republic Day Celebrations and went on till 3:30 pm. Irrespective of Friday being a weekend and holiday people came in good numbers to donate Blood. The Hospital Staff, The Doctors and the Blood Bank Technicians and others at King Khalid University Hospital were more than happy to serve all those who have participated in this campaign.

KWAR Thanks all the Hospital Staff especially Mr. Salman Baqsh for his introduction of KWAR to Blood Bank and all the arrangements for this campaign, without his support this could not been done. Dr. Zafar Mahmoud for his wonderful support during the campaign and Mr. Abdullah Al Saman for his outstanding Hospitality throughout the campaign. KWAR also thanks all the donors who came all the way voluntarily for this Great Humanitarian Cause. As a token of gesture KWAR awarded Certificate of Appreciation to all the participants.

And KWAR would like to thank specially Mr. Nasir, Representative of Blood Helpline Karnataka, who encouraged many donors and made them to actively participate and donate blood for this noble cause.

KWAR’s core activities was on display on the screen, with most of the Committee members were present at the venue to serve the donors. KWAR thanks all the members, the Executive committee and all those who took their valuable time to organize this event successfully and thank all our well-wishers who supported us for the BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN. We in KWAR wish every Donor and the participants a healthy life ahead, and we need everyone's active participation in all our Future events.
