Santhosh Hegde to attend Qatar Tulu Koota function

Qatar, May 6: Former Supreme Court judge and former Karnataka Lokayukta Justice Nitte Santosh Hegde will be the guest of honour at the 11th annual day celebration of Tulu Koota Qatar, a frontline organization of Karnataka in this Gulf country.

At the colourful evening, the gathering will be entertained with a well-known Tulu play, "Eee Baale Nammavu” (This child belongs to us) presented by Kala Jagatu, Mumbai.

Indian Ambassador to Qatar Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa will be the chief guest at the event to be held in Doha cinema on Friday, May 11 from 5 pm. Several entertainment features, besides release of annual magazine 'Nirel 2012' will be part of the programme.

Dr. Vaman Nandavar, former President, Karnataka Tulu Sahithya Academy, the main sponsors of the event M. Ravi Shetty, Managing Director of ATS Group, Doha, Qatar, and Jeppu Chidanand Naik, Area Manager, M. Pallonji Qatar will be the guests of honour.

Mr. Ashmath Ali of Golden Trading is the co-sponsor of the event.

Koota President Ramachandra Shetty and cultural secretary Archana Shetty, in a press release, have jointly appealed to all Tulu community members to attend this memorable event.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter organized a "Live along with COVID-19" webinar on 29 May 2020 in association with HealthCare Polyclinic, Dammam.

The webinar at Zoom App. featured over 150+ resident Kannadigas from Saudi Arabia's eastern and neighboring provinces.

Dr. Shailendranath made a presentation on the program and gave useful information. Indian Social Forum Dammam, Karnataka Chapter President Sharif Joktake delivered the keynote address. General Secretary Irshad Jokatte stalled the program.

Dubai: Karnataka Sports & Cultural Club (KSCC) distributed Eid Kit across the UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah to the ) needy people on Eid al Fitr.

KSCC President Mr. Mohammed Ismail Said: “Eid is a Symbol of Gratitude and Unity. As the last few weeks have been hard for each one of us, we wanted to stand in solidarity to celebrate Eid, by helping labours and needy people. He also said that “We are together to be part of UAE. Serving these meals is our core social responsibility."

KSCC recently conducted humanitarian services during COVID-19 pandemic in 2 phases and conducted Blood Donation Drive. They have also planned to conduct next Blood Donation Drive on 25th May, 2020.

The KSCC main objective is to develop the expatriate community into a well-nourished section of society in the areas of social, sports and cultural activities.

Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Central Committee, Saudi Arabia organized Republic Day program at AlRyan Policlinic Restaurant Auditorium, Dammam on 25th January 2020.

Abdul Waris, Former Chairman of Indian International School Dammam Inaugurated the program.

Wasim Rabbani, president of Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Central Committee Presided over the program.

Mansoor Shah KFUPM, Indian Social Forum Delhi Zone President, Dr. Fayaz Ahmed from King Fahad University Hospital, Amir Moulavi, Executive Member,  India Fraternity Forum (IFF) Dammam, Nasir Koduvalli, Indian Social Forum, Kerala State President, Dammam, Sharief, Social Forum Karnataka State President, DammamJahangir Moulavi, Tamilnadu State president delivered speech at the program.
