IMA-Youth Wing hosts series of programmes on Quran

Kuwait City, July 3: IMA Youth Wing Kuwait under the patronage of Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Masjid Al Kabir hosted series of programmes in which Qari Imran Khan, an expert at conducting Azan and Tajweed Seminars, delivered talks

The programmes were held on June 28 at Masjid Al Kabir and on June 29 and 30 at Salmiya Indian Model School (SIMS), Kuwait.

Qari Imran began his Kuwait tour with a lecture on Anger and Stress Management at Masjid Al Kabir on June28.

The programme commenced with recitation of the Quran by Salman Nadwi. Abu Othman, President of IC Kuwait, was the chief guest.

In his keynote speech, Imran said that believers we must always seek advice and protection from Allah for every difficulty of life. He said every one of us knows that the causes of anger and stress are mainly economic and mental pressures in life.

Therefore, rather than giving much importance to cause of the stress and anger we shall emphasize more on its prevention through teachings of Qur'an and Hadith. Also he stressed that recitation of Qur'an with understanding leads to banishing of anger and manages stress.

On the second day Qari Imran conducted the workshop on Quran recitation and Ideal Muslim Family at Salmiya Indian Model School (SIMS).

The program commenced at 4 pm which was attended by a large number of audience. The aim of workshop was to give exposure to the Muslims on the methods and techniques of reciting the Quran. Qari Imran also provided key tips on memorizing the Quran.

Presenting the second topic of the evening, Qari Imran said that the Muslim family is the strongest component of a Muslim Society, when its members are productive and constructive.

He emphasized on the prominence of encouraging people to give sufficient time to their family, especially activities that involve their children.

Kareem Irfan from FIMA was the chief guest of the event. He appreciated the various activities conducted by IMA-Youth Wing.

IMA Vice President Masood Shehab in his welcome address detailed the objectives and activities of IMA. Nisar Ahmed presented the Introduction to forthcoming Ramadan Campaign by IMA Youth Wing.

The third day session was fun filled activities for kids at Salmiya Indian Model School (SIMS). The programme provided parents with fresh and new ideas for interacting with kids to improve their skills and to educate them on Quranic lessons and teachings.

Qari Imran interacted with kids who thoroughly enjoyed his company. Alongside, he also taught them many Quranic verses and stories full of morals. The session also included fun filled games and fitness techniques.

Mohammed Salar, CEO, BITCO was the chief guest of the event. Salar extended his generosity in giving his play school in Farwaniya to IMA-Youth Wing for running Iqra Academy that conducts Quran classes and Islamic weekend classes in the evening for the children between the age 4 and 14.

Iqbal Ahmad Joint Secretary, IMA was present on the dias. Al the events were coordinated by Wajid Hashmi and Snacks, Ice Cream and refreshments were served during Programs.

Dammam: President of Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Mr.Wasim Rabbani urged immediate intervention of Indian government to help Non Residential Indians who are in trouble due to corona pandemic in Saudi Arabia.

He said in a press rease that expatriate Indians are in concern  as number of corona infected people and  deaths are increasing in danger level.

Hea said, "the Saudi health minister's statement a few days ago indicates that the situation in Saudi needs to be taken more seriously with precautionary methods. There are concerns among expatriates because the number of people infected with the coronavirus and the number of deaths reported in various provinces are increasing at an alarming rate."

"Saudi Government and Health Ministry are taking excellent precautionary measures, however, in the coming days expect to see the number of cases to increase in Saudi Arabia. The Indian government needs to take diplomatic and immediate intervention to ensure the treatment of Indian expatriates considering the number of effected people increasing", He said.

He also urged that the Embassy and the Government of India should ensure qaurantiane faculty for Indian expatriates and arrange special low cost flights to bring back expatriates who would like to return home country.

" Government of India and Indian embassy need to intervene immediately to ensure that the quarantine system is in place for Indian expatriates as the facilities in the rooms where the residents are staying together are very limited. There should also be a mechanism to organize low-cost flight services for expatriates who are ready to go home. The government system should also be able to accommodate the expatriates in special quarantine areas in hometown as soon they arrive in India", he urged.
