IFF Hajj volunteers trained to sever the guests of Allah

Dammam, October 24: India Fraternity Forum conducted a workshop for Hajj volunteers at Safa Auditorium in Dammam recently. IFF Volunteers will serve Hajjis at Mina during the days of Dhul Hajj - 9 to 12 (October 26 to 28).

Volunteers of India Fraternity Forum already began serving Hajj pilgrims since the arrival of the first group of Indian Hajis in Jeddah. Volunteers were at hand to welcome pilgrims on their arrival at the Hajj Terminal of Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport. They are helping pilgrims to collect their baggage and complete formalities. Teams of 8 to 10 volunteers were at the Hajj terminal around the clock to assist arriving pilgrims.

More than 1,000 volunteers from all over Saudi Arabia are ready to serve the Hajjis especially the weak and the disabled, by directly leading and guiding them to their places and tents, especially in Mina.

The event in Dammam was mainly organized to provide guidelines, instructions and to train volunteers from eastern province in order to serve the Hajjis in a better way.

The event was gestured by Mr. Naser Mohamed Zahid of KFPUM, Dr. Uttam Koya - General Physician Dar As-Shiha Dispensary, Dammam, Mr. Ahmed Kutty- Thejas Marketing Manager, Riyadh and Mr. Syed Nouman – IT Engineer, Dammam. Moosa Kutty & Salam Master from Kerala, Ahmed Meeran from Tamilnadu and Iqbal from Karnataka where also present on the dias.

Mr. Naser Mohamed Zahid speaking at the occasion appreciated the IFF Hajj Volunteers for their well maintained disciplined work and wished and prayed for all their future endeavors. Dr. Uttam Koya, Mr. Ahmed Kutty and Mr. Syed Nouman also spoke on the occasion and wished all Volunteers.

Mr. Mohammed Shareif conducted the training session for IFF Hajj Volunteers. More than 100 volunteers participated in the training session. The training was conducted in a well organized manner. It was ensured that the volunteers were properly guided to serve the Hajjis. Live videos and maps were used to guide the volunteers.

The event began with the recitation of Qira'th by brother Shabeer Faizi. Mr. Faisel welcomed the gathering and presented the IFF preface. Mr. Chowdery of Assam presented the vote of thanks. The event was anchored by Mohammed Ashraf.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.

Kuwait: The Covid-19 pandemic has pushed the whole world into a difficult situation and the situation of Indians in Kuwait is not any different. Many people have lost their jobs, have no salary, are deprived of food and are not able to pay rent. The appalling conditions of labourers, domestic workers, taxi drivers and low waged earners don’t seem to end in Kuwait. 

At this trying situation when many people were even afraid of leaving their houses because of coronavirus, Suresh S. Rao Neramballi, volunteer of the Food Kit Distribution at the ICSG (Indian Community Support Group) has helped many tremendously. He was ready to go around delivering food kits at any time possible by his car. However, after Kuwait imposed a full curfew from 11th May 2020, no one could take out their vehicles unless they had a curfew pass. 

This did not stop Mr. Suresh Neramballi, who then borrowed a bicycle from a friend and ended up going around in the cycle delivering the food kits in curfew break time (4:30pm to 6:30pm) to all those who registered in the ICSG website. This selfless service surely commands appreciation and applause. Mr. Suresh Neramballi has been a light for many families and bachelors in Kuwait and will surely garner the blessings of them who have been able to eat at this time.

He was also the one who could deliver the food kits to many Indian Muslim maids, bachelors, laborers and families previous day and right on the day of EID, as they were not able to go shopping for their groceries for EID, due to the curfew. They blessed him in EID dua. 

Mr. Suresh Neramballi hails from Mangaluru, India and is an Engineer in the Oil sector company in Kuwait. He has been dedicated to social service, achieved 'Aryabhata International Award' for his Kannada Service and Social service, served in many Associations and Distributor of Kannada and Tulu Movies in Kuwait. He wholeheartedly thanks the people and government of Kuwait for his bread and butter.

Dubai: A blood donation drive was conducted by Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) at in Al Wasl Club Stadium here on Friday, 26th June 2020.

The drive started around 1:00 pm and continued till 4:00 pm as per schedule provided by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Blood Donation Centre and 60 people donated blood to support the Blood Bank. The drive was well organised by maintaining social distance in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As blood cannot be produced but only can be donated, this drive will help many patients in need of blood during emergencies. Donors were also feeling proud and happy at this moment thinking of saving someone’s life.

DHA Blood Donation Centre staff carried out the screening and testing done in very well manner keeping social distancing during this pandemic. Volunteers of KSCC were also helping the staff to keep people in safe distance and to make this drive a success.

KSCC Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi and other office bearers were present at the event venue. KSCC thanked the volunteers, Community Development of Authority (CDA), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Blood Donation Centre, Government of Dubai and Al Wasl Club Stadium for making the event successful.
