Dubai: EIFF celebrates 41st UAE National Day

Dubai, December 3: EIFF celebrated 41st UAE National day on December 2, 2012 at Malabar Hotel Auditorium, Dubai.


While inaugurating the function, Janab Umar Farooq, Advocate, Dubai conveyed thanks for the rulers of U.A.E for providing good facilities for the expatriates. In his address he appealed the audience to improve reading habits to improve their knowledge as guided by Prophet Mohammed SWAS.  While Europe was in Dark Age, the Spain which was ruled by Islam inherited with full of knowledge and education, he said. “At present we have quit the habit of reading and acquiring knowledge which forced us again to go back to Dark Age. The time has come to change ourselves to attain the knowledge” he added.


Advocate also appealed the audience to make best use of The Amnesty benefit given by His Highness, the ruler of U.A.E.

 

On this occasion EIFF has released the book ‘Pearls of Knowledge” with 1,000 question answers pertaining to Islam by the author M.S. Abdul Hameed. Addressing the audience he specified that many quiz books are available, but rarely pertaining to Islam. He appealed to the audience make use of this book and attain knowledge.


Janab Nasir Hussain in his presidential address expressed his happiness in celebrating the 41stU.A.E National day. EIFF has planned to conduct a quiz competition based on this book expected to be arranged shortly. He requested the people to join hands with EIFF in serving the Expatriate wherever and whenever necessary.


Janab Badruddin Hentar welcomed the guest and audience, Janab Aslam Koppa recited the Quranic verses, program concluded with vote of thanks by Badruddin Hentar.

Dubai: Karnataka Sports & Cultural Club (KSCC) distributed Eid Kit across the UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah to the ) needy people on Eid al Fitr.

KSCC President Mr. Mohammed Ismail Said: “Eid is a Symbol of Gratitude and Unity. As the last few weeks have been hard for each one of us, we wanted to stand in solidarity to celebrate Eid, by helping labours and needy people. He also said that “We are together to be part of UAE. Serving these meals is our core social responsibility."

KSCC recently conducted humanitarian services during COVID-19 pandemic in 2 phases and conducted Blood Donation Drive. They have also planned to conduct next Blood Donation Drive on 25th May, 2020.

The KSCC main objective is to develop the expatriate community into a well-nourished section of society in the areas of social, sports and cultural activities.

The Overseas Indian Cultural Congress (OICC), Bahrain, has charted aircrafts to repatriate stranded expatriates to India. 

Boby Parayil, General Secretary, OICC National Committee, Bahrain has thanked all those who supported in this cause.

“The aircrafts were not licensed and were in crisis until the last minute. Finally, Mohammed Mansoor, president of Bahrain chapter of Indian Overseas Congress approached IOC Middle East in charge Dr Arathi Krishna, who helped get permission to operate flight to Kozhikode,” he said in a release. 

All mandatory approvals from the Foreign Ministry of Affairs and other government officials were accomplished by Dr Arathi Krishna. OICC has expressed gratitude to her for her timely support, he said. 

OICC is also grateful to former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy for doing necessary arrangements to get all the approvals for flight landing in Kerala, he added.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.
