SAB Warriors lift ‘JF Cup-2013’

Jubail, Jan 11: The recent Jamiyyatul Falah Aljubail Charity Cricket Tournament culminated in a thrilling final which saw the SAB Warriors squeak home by 4 wicket victory to capture the JF Cup-2013.

“Fourteen teams competed this year with two teams from the Dammam, one from Riyadh and 11 from Al Jubail. Each team played in the knockout form for the first round; thereafter the quarterfinals were played considering the net run-rate rank of the first round. From then on the top four played in the semi-finals for a place in the final.

The final nail biter had SAB Warriors batting first and putting up on board a challenging total of 74 for 6. Captain Salman again showed his promising knock scoring 21 runs and taking 3 wickets.

Al falah lost Nazman early but a 2nd and 3rd wicket partnership of 55 runs between A.Fayaz and Nisar put the hosts in the driving seat. However the loss of both players at 58 runs in 7th over lead to panic in the Alfalah ranks. The tension mounted and with Shakeer requiring 2 to draw off the last ball the excitement was at fever pitch. With the last ball SAB Warriors got shakeer run out on the second run to give the visitors a 4 wicket victory. It was a match to remember.

The Closing ceremony had Mohammed Saleem (NCMS), Zaheer Zakaria (Almuzain Group), Shahid (Energia), Muneer (S.R. Engineering) Shahul Hameed (Ex JF Ameer) , Mansoor Ahmed (JF Dammam President) and Mohammed Farook (JF Jubail President) to present the trophies. Haneef Hasan from JF Jubail lead the organizing team to a successful event. Tournament Referee Zeeshan Ali closed the ceremony as the night got colder on three days of fantastic cricket.

The main sponsors for this tournament were Al-Muzain, S.R.Engineering, Expertise contracting company, Nexus middleeast, Realtech Industrial service, Energia, Amaco, NGC, Cook Xone, Chemanol, I K Holding co. and noted philanthropic NRI individuals from Aljubail.

Jam’iyyatul Falah, has been actively organizing various activities through which they are trying to educate and entertain the audience while bringing the people of Mangalore and other regions together.

Mangaluru, May 22: An elderly cardiac patient from Dakshina Kannada, who was stranded in Saudi Arabia due to covid-19 lock-down, has finally reached his homeland thanks to the timely intervention by Humanity Forum Jubail and Indian Social Forum.

The elderly man hailing from Kadaba area of Dakshina Kannada was admitted to a hospital in Madinah. However, his condition continued to worsen due to lack of proper treatment. The efforts by his family members to bring him back home had not yielded results.

Meanwhile, one of the relatives of the patient, Ansari Suratkal, who happens to be a DKSC activist, brought the issue to the notice of the Karnataka unit of the Indian Social Forum in Dammam. ISF contacted Humanity Forum president Zakariya Jokatte, who helped the patient to speak directly union minister D V Sadananda Gowda in a video conference organised by coastaldigest.com.

Humanity Forum also persuaded the Indian Embassy to allow the stranded cardiac patient to fly back to India through Dammam-Bengaluru repatriation flight on May 20. 

However, it was not easy for the patient to travel from Madinah to Dammam International Airport due to lock-down and curfew. ISF not only obtained travel permission for him but also arranged vehicle. Jeddah and Riyadh units of ISF helped in obtaining permission letter in their respective places in spite of travel ban imposed by the police. Madinah unit of ISF arranged vehicle for transportation. Zakariya Jokatte bore the air ticket and other expenses of the patient.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.

Markaz Al Madeena Association, Eastern province, conducted JALS-E-UCHILA get together program at Dammam, Saudi Arabia on March 5,2020 on account of celebrating 28 years of social service dedicated by the organization.

The event chairman Noushad Uchil inaugurated the function. The organization president presided the program and delivered talk about the intention of the organization. Hashim Uchil has intorduced the social and academic contribution of the organization of past 28 years. Jamal Uchil welcomed the gathering and Ismail G.I. host the program.

Games, Quiz and prize distribution to the winners and senior social workers was the special attraction of the event. The planning committee of the event includes Iqbal, Farooq, Shahul Hameed, Ramza, Nabeel, Afthar, Ashraf and Shafi.
