Jubail: Jamiyyatul Falah holds ‘JF Mega Fest 2013’

Aljubail, Apr 20: Jam’iyyatul Falah, Jubail Unit, organised its biggest event, ‘JF Mega Fest 2013’ at Marafiq beach camp, Aljubail recently. The event was also part of the silver jubilee year celebration of Jamiyyatul Falah.

The programme began with a recitation of verses from holy Quran. Mr. U Fayaz ahmed addressed the gathering with a welcome speech for the morning session. Mr. Mohammed Farook, President of JF Jubail greeted and welcomed the sponsors, guests, community leaders and briefed the activities of JF back home and Jubail.

Indoor and outdoor games for children’s, men and women were organised. The outdoor games for men such as volley ball, breaking the pot and tug-of-war saw a thrilled crowd overjoyed.

More than 15 Indoor games for Children’s were arranged with packed participation from kids. For the ladies, women volunteers of JF conducted quiz programme, sports & games etc. Housy housy was also a main attraction in the record of indoor games which had the audience animated.

Quiz Competition and awareness presentation was conducted by Zeeshan Ali, who also compeered the programme in coordination with the team for men and children.

Many philanthropic individuals also contributed to make the event a grand success.

Mementos were distributed to the main sponsors and supporters of JF Jubail namely K.S. Sheik, Zakaria Bajpe, Mohammed Asif, Mohammed Ismail Ullal, Mohammed Sarfraz, Mohammed Salim, H.A.Muneer, Mohammed Ismail, Subhi frehat, M/s Tenet Industrial Services, Zainul Abid.

Attractive prizes and gifts were distributed to all the winners of quiz, indoor and outdoor games and raffles. Lucky bachelor and Lucky Family took away with mega and bumper prize respectively.

Dubai, Aug 7: ‘Nama Tuluve’ Purushotham Salian, a staunch stalwart who always supported humanity and a strong pillar for Tuluvas in Dubai, passed away August, 4 at Al Tawam Hospital Al Ain. He was suffering from cancer and was admitted to Al Tawam Hospital Al Ain some time ago. He was on the last stage of illness which was not detected earlier.

His funeral last rites were conducted on Thursday August 7 at Jebel Ali cemetery in Hindu rites with a few of his family members present. Due to Covid pandemic, neither his body was able to be flown back to hometown nor could his two children come down to attend the funeral. However, it was said that his wish was to be cremated here in Dubai which unknowingly sometime back he whispered to one of his friends.

Purushotham had few years ago, survived a heart attack and fought back his life, though it had a minor paralytic effect on him. Even though, till recently he used to do his day-to-day work normally. He was a hard working personality and owned a readymade garment shop in Ajman and Dubai mostly taking care of clients with requirement of uniforms and coveralls. His dedication towards work was always appreciated by his clients who used to get their things delivered on time always.

He was never a publicity person and was helping the poor and needy in whatever ways he could silently. He strongly supported the community and was associated with Nama Tuluveru and Billawa community with commitment. He used to voluntarily come forward for the ground work of various functions of the community and used to be there until it was done perfectly.

Dubai: A blood donation drive was conducted by Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) at in Al Wasl Club Stadium here on Friday, 26th June 2020.

The drive started around 1:00 pm and continued till 4:00 pm as per schedule provided by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Blood Donation Centre and 60 people donated blood to support the Blood Bank. The drive was well organised by maintaining social distance in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As blood cannot be produced but only can be donated, this drive will help many patients in need of blood during emergencies. Donors were also feeling proud and happy at this moment thinking of saving someone’s life.

DHA Blood Donation Centre staff carried out the screening and testing done in very well manner keeping social distancing during this pandemic. Volunteers of KSCC were also helping the staff to keep people in safe distance and to make this drive a success.

KSCC Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi and other office bearers were present at the event venue. KSCC thanked the volunteers, Community Development of Authority (CDA), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Blood Donation Centre, Government of Dubai and Al Wasl Club Stadium for making the event successful.

Doha: Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF) once again set an example that no caste, creed, language and religion comes as hurdle for their humanitarian services and helped to perform last rites of Ramesh who committed suicide in Doha-Qatar.

45-year-old Ramesh son of K. Nagan hailing from Panikulam, Thrissur district in Kerala, who was working as a tailor committed suicide in his house at Ruwias in Qatar on 30th May 2020.

On hearing this news, some of his friends in Kearla informed Mr. Shihab who is also from Thrissur and a member of QISF and the same was brought to the notice of QISF humanitarian team head Mr. Abdul Latheef Madikeri and Basheer Ahmed of Tamil Nadu.

Immediately, the QISF team intervened and contacted the family members of the deceased in India and discussed the matter and consequences of sending the body back home to India in this pandemic COVID 19 situation.

Considering the prevailing situation, the family members gave the consent to bury the body in Qatar itself.

QISF team collected the required documents from the family of the deceased and managed to clear all the necessary formalities from the police department, Health Department, Embassy of India and Hamad Medical Corporation.

Finally, the body of the deceased was buried in Qatar on 7th June 2020 and the copies of all the relevant documents have been handed over to the family members.

The family members of the deceased thanked and applauded the leaders and all the members of QISF for their effective and on time humanitarian service rendered even in this pandemic crisis and having no bias.
